Myths about COVID-19



There are some myths about COVID-19 suggested by WHO (World Health Organization)

1.    There are no currently medicines and treatment for the corona virus.

2.    There is no proof that hydroxychloroquine or other drugs can prevent or cure COVID-19.

3.    Adding pepper to your meals and soups does not cure or prevent the virus.

4.    The virus is not transmitted through houseflies

5.    Spraying and introducing bleach or other disinfectant into your body do not protect the body against COVID-19.

6.    Drinking methanol, ethanol or bleach does not prevent or cure COVID-19 and can be harmful.

7.    Exposing yourself to the sun or high temperatures higher than 25 degree Celsius does not protect you from the virus.

8.    Being able to hold your breath for 10 seconds or more without coughing or feeling discomfort does not mean that you are free from the virus or any other lung disease.

9.    Drinking alcohol does not protect you against COVID-19.

10.                   The virus can be transmitted in areas with hot and humid climates.

11.                   Cold weather and snow cannot kill the new virus.

12.                   Taking bath with hot water does not prevent coronavirus.

13.                   Hand driers are not effective in preventing the disease.

14.                   Thermal scanners are not effective in detecting the virus, but are effective in detecting fever.

15.                   Eating Garlic is not effective in preventing the virus  

16.                   Antibiotics are not effective in treating and preventing the virus.
